Erin (Cejka) Riecker graduated from Tufts University in 2003 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and continued at Tufts, receiving a M.S. in Math, Science, Technology and Engineering Education in 2005. She began working at the CEEO during the summer of 2001 on ROBOLAB development and teacher workshops.  As a graduate student, Erin's research focused on professional development for elementary and middle school teachers in engineering. She worked with the STOMP and I-STOMP programs in addition to continuing work with ROBOLAB and professional development workshops.  Erin is particularly interested in bringing engineering to elementary students, and was proud to work on curriculum for first grade through the Early Elementary Engineering Design Program.

CEEO Responsibilities
Erin continues to work with teachers and students through her current position as Professional Development Program Manager at the CEEO. Erin is working closely with Elissa Milto to expand the workshops offered by the CEEO. Erin develops content for workshops for kids and professional development for educators. She is the primary instructor for the Summer LEGO Engineering Institute for educators and part of the instructional staff for CEEO workshops.

Erin serves as the professional development coordinator for the Integrating Engineering & Literacy project. In this project, we hope to bring engineering into the grade 3-5 classroom through childrens' literature.
