Themes for 2010:
This year’s symposium will have two themes, Climate Change, a content theme, and Tipping Points, a pedagogical theme. The presentations and development labs will focus on how educators can use the LEGO toolsets to engage students in STEM learning through these two themes. Participants will work at developing activities and teaching strategies that address: • How can we develop activities that engage students in climate change and the associated STEM learning? • How can educators facilitate tipping points, those moments where a student finally organizes what they are learning into that “aha” moment when they really get it?Registration: The registration fee for the symposium is $250 and includes breakfast and lunch each day and one dinner. Registration will open February 1, 2010. Information will be posted after registration is open at: www.legoengineering.com
