LEGO Engineering Symposium - Travel and Accommodations

Travel and Accommodations Hotel  We recommend lodging at either the Hyatt Place or Hawthorn Suites (both on map below) where we have negotiated special rates. Please call the following people at each hotel to make reservations. Tell them you are attending a Tufts University conference. Hawthorn Suites 781-643-7258 Ask for Steve Leonard   Public Parking Limited street parking is available along Boston Avenue and College Avenue. Visitor Parking   Visitors are required to purchase a pass from the Parking and Traffic Services Office, which is located at 419 Boston Ave.  The pass, a blue Guest Parking card, allows visitors to park in any lot that requires a decal or pass. (see attached)  Passes may be purchased in advance, providing the plate number of the visiting vehicle is known. Parking is also available at the Parking Garage located at 419 Boston Ave.  The garage opens at 7:00 am and closes at 12 midnight. Parking tokens may be purchased at the garage at the token machines located on floors 3, 5, and 7 and at the Traffic and Parking Office located on the first floor from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm. The cost of a parking pass and parking garage token is $5.00 per day. For more information, please call the Traffic and Parking office at 617-627-3692. Hyatt Place Shuttle Service to Tufts (7:30 am – 9:00 pm) Free shuttle service to and from Tufts University is provided upon request on a first come first served basis. Please contact the front desk for arrangements. The free hotel shuttle is also available upon request to Wellington and Davis Square subway stations (MBTA Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority) as well as local area restaurants.  Please contact the front desk for arrangement     Taxi Service           Medford AAA Cab of Medford – 781.396.2400  Approximate cost from Medford to Logan Airport - Boston is $26.00. Public Transportation Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority (MBTA) otherwise known as the “T” www.mbta.com (go to Rider Tools) for more information regarding bus route,schedules, and  which bus to take to get to your destination.
