1. Office Assistant (2-4 positions)These positions help in the day-to-day operations of the CEEO. 
Sample Tasks include:

•    Updating databases
•    Assembling binders and materials for events and workshops
•    Sorting LEGO materials and organization of LEGO kits
•    Proofreading and testing building/programming instructions

Office Assistants must be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.  Experience with File Maker Pro, Dreamweaver, or LEGO Mindstorms are a plus.

2. Content & Activities Development and Testing Positions (2-4 positions)
These positions involve creating activities & content for CEEO programs and websites.  A key to success will be individuals’ close attention to details and self-motivation. There are two types of positions available.
   

a) LEGO – Sample Tasks include:
•    Testing existing activities for accuracy and ease of use
•    Developing LEGO building instructions (using a LEGO CAD building program)
•    Creating sample programs in LEGO programming environments (ROBOLAB, NXT-G, Labview)
Experience with LEGO building, LEGO Mindstorms programming and/or Labview are a plus. 

    b) Stop Action Moviemaking - Sample Tasks include:
•    Making model animations for website
•    Editing activities for grammar, format, etc…
•    Entering information into activity pages with prescribed templates
•    Editing wiki pages in the community section of SAM website


3. Camp Counselor (1-3 positions)
Camp Counselors are involved in the 3 weeks of LEGO Camp at the CEEO. 
Sample Tasks include:

•    Preparing, testing, and documenting LEGO activities for camp
•    Providing instruction to campers and supervising their progress
•    Set-up, clean-up and organization of LEGO materials for camp
•    Implementing and supervising non-LEGO activities (tag, soccer, other inside games)   

Camp Counselors must be incredibly motivated, responsible and outgoing individuals.  Camp Counselors are typically engaged in 4-5 weeks of LEGO work and then selected to work on other CEEO projects for the duration of the summer. Experience with LEGO building and LEGO Mindstorms programming strongly preferred.  Previous experience working in a camp setting is a plus.

4. Research Assistant (1 position)
The research assistant helps to facilitate the CEEO’s research program by assisting with resource development, data collection and analysis for research projects.
    Sample Tasks include:

•    Preparing curriculum for classroom use
•    Assisting with workshops for educators
•    Transcribing video data
•    Coding data (video, pictures, student writing)

Proficiency with Microsoft Office required.  Experience working on a research project and/or with LEGO Mindstorms is a plus, but not required.

5. Web Programmer (2-3 positions)
Salary $11-15/hour (based on experience and skills)
There are several web programming positions available to work on existing sites (www.legoengineering.com, www.ceeo.tufts.edu, www.stompnetwork.org) as well as new web-based projects.
Required skills include:

•    HTML/CSS
•    PHP
•    Mysql
•    Javascript

 Experience with content management systems is a plus.

6. Application Programmer (1 position)
Salary $11-15/hour (based on experience and skills)
The application programmer will work on the development of stop action animation software (http://www.samanimation.com). 
Required skills include:

•    Solid C programming skills and experience using C++ and Objective C
•    Experience with OpenGL
•    Working knowledge of QuickTime APIs
•    Experience with developing in Visual Studio and Xcode
•    Experience with low level image processing techniques
•    Knowledge of subversion is helpful (easy to learn)
•    Comfort with Mac OSX and Windows XP
