 LEGO Summer Program

This one-week program is a chance for students to participate in individual and small-team design projects while fostering an understanding of the engineering design process. Several engineering challenges are presented throughout the week. Students use LEGO bricks and ROBOLAB software as they design, build, and program robotic creations. Each child is encouraged to work within his/her own abilities as they explore engineering and its underlying principles.

Three sessions are offered this summer.

Robotics and Art for girls currently in grades 2-5

Co-ed Robotics for new, intermediate and advanced users,  students currently in grades 2-7
THE CO-ED ROBOTICS SESSIONS ARE FULL.

LEGO Summer Program for Early Elementary Students for students currently in grades K & 1.

Student Workshops

Throughout the year the CEEO holds workshops for students in Grades 1-10. These workshops range from 3 hours on a Saturday to semester long after school programs. All the programs involve hands-on building and emphasize improving design skills.

Educator Workshops

Teacher Professional Development is a priority of the CEEO. The Center offers week long workshops during the summer as well as day long workshops during the year. Workshops are structured to allow participants to engage in similar activities to their students. Most of the time is spent building and understanding how to present engineering to students - there is very little traditional lecture.
