Alex recently received a B.S. in Engineering Psychology from Tufts University. He has been a part of the CEEO for the past 4 years as a member of the STOMP Program and as a summer intern for Novel Engineering. During his time at Tufts he participated in other outreach efforts such as working with low-income, first generation high school students through Tufts STEM Ambassadors, and serving as a team leader in a preschool classroom through AmeriCorps Jumpstart. He also conducted research on STEM Education with students ages 4-7 through the Developmental Technologies (DevTech) Research Group at Tufts.

CEEO Responsibilities:
Alex assists the CEEO with its outreach efforts both within the Tufts community and with students and teachers in the greater community. In particular, he is involved in organizing after school, weekend, and summer workshops for students and teachers. He is also involved with the STOMP program by supporting STOMP Fellow trainings, and thinking about the implications of diversity with STOMP and within the classrooms the program serves.

Research Interests:
Alex is particularly interested in providing elementary school students from all backgrounds with access to STEAM Education in fun and creative ways. He is also interested in exploring the relationship between how technology, materials and curricula are designed and the implications they have on how students and teachers interact with them."
