Owen is a master’s student in the mechanical engineering program with a background in mechanical design, robotics, and musical instruments. He completed his undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering at Tufts University. Owen interned at the CEEO during Summer 2020, working on building connections with LEGO Robotics and Onshape, which led to research exploring ROS / Gazebo connections with the LEGO SPIKE Prime platform. His research focus for the master’s thesis will be to investigate automating the modal analysis of a violin top by designing a CNC toolhead measuring the process.
