Biography
Menghe (Yume) Xu is a PhD student in STEM Education. She was inspired by the science communication work she did at the University of Tokyo, and chose to work in STEM education to create learning experiences where students actively make sense of knowledge. Prior to coming to Tufts, she worked at an EdTech company in Tokyo where she designed content for children's apps. During her spare time, she actively organized workshops for students in Japan along with local schools and makerspace. She enjoys tinkering and making things, hiking, and flamenco dance.
